Cozy Apple

Copy of Cozy AppleFind Bentonville's Roaming Cozy Apple

Cozy Apple is a three-foot wide custom-shaped inflatable apple wrapped with handmade crocheted granny circles. Different shades of red acrylic yarn is used to crochet granny circles that are then sewn together and wrapped around the inflatable apple. The artist will prepare two Cozy Apples.

The first one is a temporary outdoor version that the artist, Gina Gallina, crocheted and fabricated herself. This will be “roaming” around the community in a tribute to our apple history and community spirit. Keep your eyes open as this installation pops up throughout the city, uniting our past and present in a celebration of creativity and heritage. Snap a picture and share the magic by tagging @bentonvillegov and #BentonvilleCozyApple. Don't miss the chance to see the Roaming Apple and experience the power of art in Bentonville. The second one is at its permanent location inside the Bentonville Public Library (405 S Main St.). This apple was created by crocheters in the community and the artist pieced PAAC_FFBooth_June2_02together the individual granny squares created by our residents. There will be an unveiling at the Bentonville Public Library on September 14th at 4:00 pm.
