Land Use Map Website Available

The Future Land Use Map is the foundation for future community development showing the desired location for each land use as the city continues to grow and develop and serves as a guide for land use and development decisions. The land use plan is an important element of the city's community plan, which is the City of Bentonville's most basic statement of public policy describing how the city can achieve its desired future.

The city is currently operating under the Future Land Use Plan that was adopted in 2007. A new land use plan is proposed in the new Bentonville Community Plan. An interactive website is available to compare between the two plans: The site provides a slider in the middle of the map. The left pane displays the current plan and the right pane shows the proposed plan. Users can search by address, zoom in and out, and click links for details about each land use classification.

A public hearing for the proposed land use plan and the Bentonville Community Plan is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the Community Development Building at 305 SW A Street in Bentonville.
