New Drainage Install at Dave Peel Playground

Parks & Recreation logo

Bentonville, AR……. Beginning Monday, August 19, the playground at Dave Peel Park will be closed as Bentonville Parks and Recreation installs a new drainage system and sod. This playground, located at 206 East Central, will be closed for approximately 3 weeks and is scheduled to reopen Monday, September 9. The new drainage system will reroute water out of the park to cut down on the amount of mud that can build up around the pavilion located in Dave Peel Park. During this time, only the fenced-in area of this park will be closed. The rest of the park will remain open.

Bentonville Parks and Recreation apologizes for this temporary inconvenience. However, similar playgrounds in close proximity to this park include Austin – Baggett Park (601 SE D St.), Gilmore Park (503 SW D St.) and Park Springs Park (301 NW 10th St.).
