Bentonville, AR…Bentonville Parks and Recreation is proud to announce the opening of the Rink at Lawrence Plaza on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 12:00 pm.
On opening day, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, skate sessions at The Rink will be free to the public. Conagra will also be on hand providing free hot cocoa and giveaways for skaters. At 6:00 pm, we encourage the public to attend the Lighting of the Downtown Square celebration taking place on the Downtown Bentonville Square.
After the Lighting of the Square, Bentonville Parks and Recreation will host an exhibition skate show by the Arkansas Figure Skating Association. At 8:00 pm, The Rink will re-open to the public for the last skate sessions of the day. This will be a paid session. Cost for skating is $3 per session with a $2 skate rental fee.
This year, The Rink will introduce new session hours. Sessions will begin on the hour and last 45 minutes.

Throughout The Rink season, Bentonville Parks and Recreation has partnered with the Arkansas Figure Skating Association to offer Ice Skating Lessons. We will also be featuring three free outdoor movies as part of Frosty Flix during the season:
December 7th | Smallfoot
December 14th | The Grinch
December 28th | Spiderman Far From Home
All movies will begin at 6:30pm.
We are also pleased to provide the public with a direct line to Santa Claus. Children are able to write a letter to Santa for our elves to deliver directly to Santa Claus at the North Pole. Any child who turns in their letter, with a return address, will receive a special letter back from Santa prior to Christmas. These letters should be turned in to the “Letters to Santa House” located at Lawrence Plaza no later than December 16, 2019.
