Bentonville, AR...The City of Bentonville is set to kickoff major roadway improvements for SW 8th Street between SW I St. and SE J St. The construction will proceed with phased closures of SW 8th Street during construction. Various methods of traffic control will be in place as these closures proceed. Succeeding phased closures will be communicated prior to their start at later dates.
Once complete, SW 8th Street will be a 5-lane boulevard with raised medians in various locations and will have all modes of transportation, to include a two-way cycle track. Construction is expected to begin July 05, 2022 and end July 05, 2024 (weather dependent). Please contact the Transportation Department at 479-271-6840 with any questions.
