This 8,378 square foot facility officially opened Thursday August 25, 2011 and is home to the Bentonville Parks & Recreation Administrative Staff.

This center houses 2 activity rooms where scheduled classes will be held and offered to citizens each month.  Multiple fitness activities are available for various times throughout each weekday and Saturdays.
Please see "Schedule of Wellness Classes" for class details.

Drop inn's are welcome, however, it is recommended that you first call to confirm the class is currently active. Classes are formed based on participation.  Unfortunately there are times where there is not enough participation to form a class and therefore must be cancelled.  Each participant is required to complete and sign a registration form & waiver.  Please bring this form with you when you come to register for, or drop in, any class.

Studio A

This 676 square foot sound proof studio, with a floating wood floor will host classes such as Yoga, Zumba, Martial Arts, Tai Chi, Lunch Express, etc.

Studio B

This 649 square foot sound proof studio, with a Mondo (rubber mat) floor will host classes such as Spinning and Strong Women & Men.

Due to limited class space, it is necessary to enroll at the center. Online and/or mail in registration is not being offered at this time. Participants must be at least 16 years of age or older unless class description specifies otherwise.

The restroom facilities in the building, complete with showers & lockers, makes it convenient for class participants to freshen up after a workout. Locks for lockers are available for check out, at a cost of just $1, for a maximum of 24 hours.

The large multi-purpose lobby, with two 55” flat screen TV’s, a board game table with chairs, and Kodak moment photos displayed throughout, makes for a comfortable, entertaining waiting area. The spacious lobby can also be used to host short term large group activities upon management approval. (See Rental Program information below for details)

The center also offers a 414 square foot meeting room with a large TV monitor, audio equipment, large conference room table with 10 chairs, and a 12' counter with a standard size sink. Maximum table use capacity is 12; however additional seating can be provided and set up on the outer perimeter of the conference table, upon request or as needed, with a maximum room capacity of approximately 20. Reservations are available pending management approval. (See Rental Program information below for details)

Another attractive addition to the facility is the wall size trail map that provides easy to see details of Bentonville’s entire trail system.  Please be sure to check it out when you visit.

  • When Bentonville Public Schools cancel school for the day,  classes and programs held at the Downtown Activity Center will also be canceled for that day.
  • The Downtown Activity Center follows the same inclement weather schedule as all of the City of Bentonville administrative offices.  Therefore anytime City of Bentonville delays the start of business or closes for the day, due to inclement weather,  the Activity Center's schedule will follow suite.
