Letters to Santa Claus - Late November/Early December
Volunteers are needed to assist in the Letters to Santa Program. Starting in mid November, we leave a mailbox out for children to put in letters to Santa, located at the Lawrence Plaza Ice Rink. Volunteers take those letters and write back a handwritten letter as "Santa" in response. Examples and stationary are provided. We ask that the volunteers are adults with legible handwriting. This is a great way to get in some volunteer hours and spread some holiday cheer. To get involved, contact Chris Cuchia in the Parks & Recreation Department, or call (479) 464-7275.
Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
This program is a partnership between the city and the community to keep the city free of litter, one street at a time. Participants adopt a street that is 1/2-mile or more in length and are asked to volunteer a minimum of three (3) times per year. For more information or to sign up, contact Danielle Semsrott, AICP, Senior Planner or call (479) 271-3122.
The Bentonville Public Library (BPL) offers several opportunities for adults, families and teens. When you volunteer at the BPL, you give an extraordinary gift to our shared community. Please note that the BPL does not accept court ordered community service applicants. For more information, visit the BPL website or call (479) 271-3192.
Bentonville Parks & Recreation
The Bentonville Parks & Recreation offers opportunities to volunteer at races, as coaches, in our parks and along our trails. For more information call (479) 464-PARK.
