Bentonville, AR… Bentonville Parks & Recreation invites citizens to attend our public input meeting for the Bentonville Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan. This meeting will take place on Monday, June 24 at 6:00 pm at the Bentonville Community Center located at 1101 SW Citizens Circle.
In 2017, the Play Bentonville Plan stated one of the top recreational priorities for our city is a comprehensive and connected trail network for cyclists and pedestrians. In March 2019, City Officials selected the design group, Toole Design to work closely with officials and citizens to develop this master plan. Toole Design was selected based on their extensive background in bicycle infrastructure planning and design.
As Bentonville continues to grow, the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan will establish potential locations and routes for a future comprehensive network throughout Bentonville. The plan will also focus on trail connectivity to schools, businesses, art, and other attractions in our city.
In this first public meeting, Bentonville Parks & Recreation hopes to hear citizens’ thoughts about where they wish to see this network grow as well as any other ideas regarding the future of trails in Bentonville.
