Tennis Program

Bentonville Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Ozark Tennis Academy, offers youth tennis programming designed for players ages 5 and older, regardless of skill level. 

The BPR Tennis program focuses on tennis fundamentals and skill development, with emphasis on proper form and stroke technique. Our professional tennis coaches have exceptional knowledge, talent, and experience. 

All tennis programming takes place on courts in Citizens Park, Memorial Park, and Wildwood Park. 

Opportunities include Youth Academy and Youth Recreation Tennis in addition to private, semi-private, and group lessons.

SPRING SESSION: MARCH 12 - MAY 7

This program includes beginner and intermediate players divided into the age groups (6-8) and (9-11+). The program focuses on instruction and point play. 

This program also includes QuickStart Tennis: a fun way for 10U players to learn and progress faster. It uses shorter courts, lower compression balls, and smaller rackets. 

These drills are offered in our seasonal sessions 1 drill per week for 8-weeks.

All lessons will take place at the Citizens Park Tennis Complex - 1101 SW Citizens Circle.

Youth Recreation Tennis - 6–8 Years Old - Thursdays - 5:30-6:30pm

Youth Recreation Tennis - 9-17 Years Old - Thursdays - 6:30-7:30pm

SPRING SESSION: MARCH 10 - MAY 5

This program is for tournament level players looking for higher-level drills and lessons. These drills put emphasis on advanced technique, commitment, fitness, accountability, and self-discipline. 

These drills are offered in our seasonal sessions 1 drill per week for 8-weeks.

All lessons will take place at the Citizens Park Tennis Complex - 1101 SW Citizens Circle. 

RED - Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm (ages 5-7) 

This age group uses QuickStart nets and red (25% compression) balls on a 36' court. We look for them to be able to hit 100 consecutive balls and execute topspin. Price is $160.

ORANGE - Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm (ages 8-10) 

This age group uses orange (50% compression) balls on a 60' court. Price is $160.

CRUSH - Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm (ages 8-10) 

This age group uses orange (50% compression) balls on a 60' court. We look for them to be able to hit 100 consecutive balls from the 60' baseline and execute topspin. Price is $160.

WHITE - Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00pm (ages 11-17) 

This age group is for intermediate tournament players. Price is $230.

BLACK - Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00pm (ages 11-17) 

This age group is for advance tournament players (most often players travel across the state and/or the country for tournaments). Price is $250.
