September 9 - Colorful Inflatables

We're making balloons! Inspired by artist Claire Ashley's inflatables, cut and tape plastic into a shaped balloon, then, using markers and colorful tape, decorate your air-filled creation.

September 16- Paint Marbled Banner

Draw some inspiration from the colorful tunnel of flags made by artist Odili Donald Odita. Then, using shaving creme and fabric paint, swirl a pattern to print onto large cloth banner of your own!

September 23- STEAM Session- Sculpting with Circuits Shine Bright w/ art & science!

Observe two light-up sculptures from the Color Field exhibition, then create sculptures of your own from wood, glue, paint pens, circuits, and mini-LEDs!

September 30- Paint Chip Collages

Check out a large-scale sculpture of colorful squares by artist Spencer Finch, then combine the perfect colors into your own paint-chip masterpiece.

October 7- Print Shop

Do you love letters? After looking at the many layers of artist John Cage's letter-laden sculptures, create a calligraphy-stamp of your own using foam, tracing paper, and pens.

October 14- Giant Letter Collages 

Take a closer look at huge patterns created with hundreds of lottery tickets. Create a giant monogram of your own with wordy pages from books, magazines, and newspaper for your wall or door.

October 21- World in a Box

Jump into the world of artist Joseph Cornell who used found objects to assemble little boxes of his favorite treasures. Using found objects with numbers, letters and emojis, make a little box the represents you.

October 28-Game of Captions | Nate Larson

Do you love captioning photos? This artist does too! Check out how this Nate Larson used Twitter and photography to create artworks from his Geolocation series. After, we are digging in to magazines, old books, and upcycled posters to make a game of captions! Friendly for all-ages.
