Bentonville Barracudas

The Bentonville Barracudas is a recreational swim team for children ages 6 to 15 years old. Practices are 45 minutes long, twice a week.  The team works to improve their strokes, starts, turns, and finishes in a non-competitive, team-oriented environment. 

New Barracuda swimmers will receive a team shirt, swim cap!

Registration for the Spring Season will open on Monday, March 2!

* The link to tryout will be in your registration receipt. Because of the large number of interested swimmers, only registered swimmers and swimmers on the waitlist will be granted a tryout. 

Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons will take place at Bentonville Community Center. Summer season will take place at the Melvin Ford Aquatic Center.

2026 Winter Season Information:

Location & Practice Times: 

All practices will be held at the Bentonville Community Center at 1101 SW Citizens Circle. Practices are 45 minutes long and held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practices are divided by age, skills and endurance. Specific practice times are determined after tryouts are held. 

Requirements:

Must be able to swim a minimum of 25 yards of freestyle and 25 yards of backstroke with proper stroke technique without stopping and be ready for more. Prior swim lessons or formal instruction is strongly recommended. 

Tryouts are required for all new Barracudas and Barracudas who did not participate in the prior season. Please click on the link in your registration receipt to sign up for a tryout time. 

Swimmers 13 & older will swim in the Barracudas Elite practice at 7:15pm. This is a practice specifically designed for older swimmers. 

Parents will not be allowed on deck during practice. Make sure that if you have been running a fever or ill in anyway to please not attend practice until all symptoms have been gone for 48 hours.

For Fall, Winter & Spring season tryouts: the coaches will inform parents regarding specific practice time after tryouts are completed. Swimmers are placed in their practice time based on skill technique and endurance. If unable to meet swim requirements at the tryout, an alternate program will be suggested.
