Bentonville, AR…The City of Bentonville is proud to announce the appointment of Malorie Marrs to the position of City Clerk. Marrs was appointed to the City Clerk position after approval by the City Council at the March 12, 2024, meeting. Marrs assumes the role from former City Clerk, Kirby Romines, who resigned in March, with plans to move out of state in April. Romines had served in the role for the past three and a half years and her current term was set to expire in December 2024. The City Clerk position will be placed on the 2024 General Election Ballot.
Malorie Marrs has lived in Bentonville for over 12 years and has been married for 10 years to her husband Jon Marrs. Together they have two spunky boys, Carson (4), and Austin (2). Malorie is currently enjoying being a stay-at-home mom to her sons. Malorie was the former Executive Director for the American Diabetes Association, serving and leading both the state of Arkansas and Oklahoma. Throughout her tenure at the ADA, Malorie worked on the association’s largest gala -Kiss a Pig, the cycling event Tour de Cure, and led the Arkansas Board.
Malorie was also in the nonprofit arena for over 5 years and has backgrounds in both business-to-business sales and higher education. Originally from Springfield Missouri, she has a bachelor’s in international political science and Spanish from Drury University and a master’s in international Affairs from Florida State University.
