Bentonville, AR... The Bentonville Public Library proudly announces its Black History Month Celebration on Saturday, February 03, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The event will feature a diverse lineup of activities for all ages, including a Proclamation by Mayor Stephanie Orman, storytime and a magic show by renowned magician Tommy Terrific.
Mayor Stephanie Orman will kick off the event with a Proclamation celebrating Black History Month at 12:00 pm. Next, the event will culminate with a magic show by Tommy Terrific at noon in the Walmart Community Room. The show will highlight the life and music of Louis Armstrong and feature magic tricks related to his innovative jazz standards such as "Hello Dolly," "When the Saints Go Marching In," and "What a Wonderful World."
"We are thrilled to host this Black History Month Celebration and showcase the rich cultural heritage of our community," said Hadi Dudley, Director of the Bentonville Public Library. "Through this event, we hope to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of our shared history and inspire our visitors to learn more about the contributions of African Americans to our society."
The event is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. All ages and backgrounds are welcome to attend and join in the celebration.
