Bentonville, AR….The City of Bentonville is now accepting nominations for the Residential and Commercial Landscaping of the Month Awards. Nominations will be accepted beginning June 2018 and continue through October 2018. All entries must be received by the 1st Monday of the month. Only the portion of the landscaping viewed from the street is evaluated.
Initiated in 2011, these awards are designed to recognize Bentonville residents and business owners who have improved and maintained the exterior landscaping of their homes and places of business. More importantly, the awards are intended to inspire others to improve their landscaping, and to keep their residence and place of business clean and free of any litter or debris. Exterior home and garden improvements create a more beautiful environment for residents and the many visitors who come to Bentonville for work and pleasure.
Residents and business owners may nominate their own, their neighbor’s, or someone else’s landscaping by simply completing the application, which is located on the City of Bentonville’s website.http://www.bentonvillear.com/466/Tree-Landscape-Committee/
The City’s Tree & Landscape Advisory Committee will serve as judges to select the winners each month. Winners are honored by the Mayor at a regular Bentonville City Council meeting and are presented with a decorative yard sign designating their yard as a winner. A photograph of the winner and yard will be placed in the City of Bentonville’s newsletter, the “Bentonville Focus”.
