Bentonville, AR……. Bentonville Parks and Recreation is pleased to host Bentonville Together: A Multicultural Community Festival. The year’s event marks the 3rd annual celebration, highlighting art, music, customs, and traditions from around the world. The theme of the event is Many Cultures. One Community.
Sharing the stage with emcees Ro Bailey and Rachel Williams, Mayor Stephanie Orman will greet the crowd and announce the winner of the 2024 commemorative t-shirt design. A committee of Crystal Bridges staff selected the winning artwork from submissions by students residing in Bentonville. Festival shirts and assorted merchandise will be available for purchase. Another event highlight worth noting – the Bentonville Public Art Advisory Committee will unveil a new art installation titled, “Caminos: Celebrando la Vida y el Legado (Pathways: Celebrating Life and Legacy)” by artist Briseida “Brioch” Ochoa. The acrylic painted mural will be on display in Orchards Park for a duration of five months.
Bentonville Together, presented by Walmart and PepsiCo., is planned for Saturday, April 27, from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Orchards Park. Located at 1100 NE John DeShields Boulevard on the corner of J Street, the signature park sits directly across from the entrance to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Divided into three key sections (Learn – Taste – Discover), exhibitors will showcase their culturally significant products and services while leading “hands on” activations. With 45 vendors, 10 on-stage performances, food trucks, crafts, and more, participants can look forward to an enriching, cultural experience.
