Bentonville, AR...Bentonville Parks & Recreation invites citizens to attend a design kick-off and public input event for the 8th Street Gateway Park. This event will take place on Saturday, February 8th from 11:00am-1:00pm at 1400 SW Melissa Drive. This event will be held on Melissa Drive, with parking available at Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy.
In December 2019, Walmart Inc. and the Walton Family Foundation announced the 100-acre land donation to the city of Bentonville for park development. This green space is located west of the intersection of Southwest 8th and Southwest I streets.
In this first public meeting, Bentonville Parks & Recreation hopes to hear citizens’ thoughts about the amenities they would like to see featured in this space as well as other ideas regarding the future of this park in Bentonville.
We invite the public to join us at the site on February 8th to provide input as well as enjoy a heated tent, food trucks, inflatables, and a site hike.
