BENTON COUNTY (04-10) – Construction to build the new Bella Vista Bypass interchange with U.S. Highway 71 in Bentonville requires overnight lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Weather permitting, crews will be installing barrier wall and laying pipe on State Highway 549 (Bella Vista Bypass). Crews will use flagging operations, signage, and police enforcement to close various lanes and keep traffic moving during overnight hours Monday, April 13 through Friday, April 18, from 8:00 p.m to 7:00 a.m.
- Crews will alternately close eastbound and westbound lanes on Highway 549 between the roundabout and west of McKissic Creek Road to lay pipe and conduit.
- Crews will close the ramp lane from the roundabout to I-49 northbound to install barrier walls.
Watch for warning signs and safety personnel during the work. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone.
This project (Job CA0903) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes constructing approximately 2.8 miles of roadway with bridge structures on U.S. Highway 549, including a new Bella Vista Bypass interchange with U.S. Highway 71 in Bentonville.
