Bentonville, AR...Since March, many of Bentonville Parks and Recreation Facilities have been closed or limited due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. As the Arkansas Department of Health begins to make announcements lifting restrictions on public facilities, we are excited to begin slowly and cautiously reopening select recreation amenities in our parks system.
May 15 Sports Fields (Memorial Park, Philips Park and Citizens Park) reopen for public use. Sports team practices are permitted on a first come – first serve basis.
May 18 Bentonville Community Center reopens on limited basis see website for information. Fitness Center and Lap Pool are available for daily use by members.
May 22 Tennis Complexes (Citizens Park and Memorial Park) will reopen at 50% capacity. This includes restrooms at each facility.
May 26 Restrooms at Dave Peel Park and Lawrence Plaza reopen for public use.
May 28 Bark Park reopens. This includes restrooms facilities.
Our team continues to work with local health officials and follows the directives from Governor Hutchinson and the Arkansas Department of Health. We await directives on recreation swimming pools / splash parks, Summer Camps and Team sports. As soon as announcements are made on these activities, we will announce openings for additional facilities.
