Bentonville, Ark. - How does an underlying passion impact others, improve our shared community and inspire positive change? Are there opportunities in Bentonville that support one’s passions, and what have others done to align their lives with their purpose?
All of the above questions will be answered in an exciting new initiative of Mayor Stephanie Orman entitled, The Mayor’s Book Club scheduled for July 19-30, 2021.
In collaboration with Bentonville Public Library (BPL) and sponsored by Bentonville Library Foundation, The Mayor’s Book Club is debuting this summer with a panel discussion and book club discussion centered around a selected book.
The first book selection is Find Your Why: a Practical Guide for Discovering Your Purpose for You and Your Team by Simon Sinek, Peter Docker and David Mead. Readers and participants are encouraged to explore and identify their passion and purpose and may relate it to life experience, family, work, goals, service and values.
Community Event – Panel Discussion - July 19 @ 12 PM
The first community event will include a panel discussion and conversations with inspirational local leaders about why and how they bring passion to work or volunteerism and how it impacts our community. The panel will be moderated by Mayor Stephanie Orman. The virtual session is open to the public via Zoom. Registration is required at https://attend.bentonvillelibrary.org/event/5304245.
