[ARCHIVED] Bentonville Community Center Welcomed One-Millionth Visitor

Bentonville Community Center

Bentonville, AR…During the week of November 13th, the Bentonville Community Center anticipates its one-millionth visitor since opening its doors on June 6, 2015. Reaching this milestone in just over 2 years is an exciting accomplishment for Bentonville Parks & Recreation. Since opening, attendance at the Community Center has far exceeded expectations. Bentonville Community Center welcomes approximately 1,500 patrons through its doors each day.

In celebration of this milestone, the Bentonville Community Center will be hosting a daylong celebration on Monday, November 13 to thank all the visitors and patrons who have made this achievement possible with treats, refreshments, and giveaways. At noon, we will honor the one-millionth visitor with a special award from Mayor McCaslin.

The Bentonville Community Center has hosted state swim meets, softball World Series teams, 80,000 children in the Kids Center, 130,000 fitness class participants, 7,000 swim lesson students, and much more. In addition, many special events have been hosted in the building including wedding receptions, birthday parties, work parties, honorary receptions, Rotary meetings, graduation receptions, and more. We are proud to be known as the “go to” place for community gatherings and events.

In 2016, the Bentonville Community Center was named the Facility of the Year through the Arkansas Recreation and Parks Association, just one year after opening.

We look forward to continued growth at the Bentonville Community Center and Citizens Park.

The Bentonville Community Center is located at 1101 SW Citizens Circle in Southwest Bentonville. For more information, please call David Wright at 479-271-6813.
