On Monday, February 12th, the City of Bentonville Water Utilities Department will be begin a water main replacement project that will extend from S. Main and 2nd to S. Main and 4th. The department is replacing approx. 1100’ of 4" water line with 8" water line, adding fire hydrants and upgrading water services. While the construction of the water line is taking place, our intention is to re-route all north and southbound traffic to SW A St. The plan is to do a block by block installation and closure. Our team will make accommodations for local traffic in reference to driveway access as well as mail and trash service during the installation process. The sidewalk on the west side of the roadway could be impacted and potentially closed during installation but the east side sidewalk will be fully accessible. Our goal is to begin on Monday Feb. 12th and be completed and open to full traffic access by April 4th.
