Refund Policy

A $5 cancellation fee per person, per activity, will be charged for all refunds processed for activities, programs, leagues and wellness classes.

Programs & Activities

Including Camps, Youth and Adult Programs, Swim Lessons, and Wellness Classes. Notice must be given at least five full business days' from the start of the program to receive a refund. 

Teams / Leagues

No refunds will be granted to participants once league registration has closed.

Races

No refunds will be granted to individuals once registered for a race.

Injuries

If an unforeseen physical disability occurs, limiting the participant’s ability to engage in a registered activity, the Parks and Recreation Supervisors will work with the patron to assess the situation and identify appropriate action. A physician’s note is required for any refund request due to injury/illness.

Memberships

All memberships are non-refundable. Monthly memberships must be canceled 30 days in advance.  

Inclement Weather

In the event that a rental reservation has to be cancelled due to inclement weather, a full refund will be given to the renting party. Inclement weather will be determined by the Bentonville Parks and Recreation.

Day Passes/Tickets

No admission refunds will be granted to patrons who purchase a day pass or ticket to enter a facility. 

Private Rentals

Melvin Ford Aquatic Center & Lawrence Plaza Ice Rink: Private event renters must give five full business days’ notice before the reserved date in order to receive a full refund for a cancelled party.  Any cancellations after that will not receive a refund.

Bentonville Community Center: Full community room rental and pool party room rental and deposit fees are refundable if cancellation is received by Bentonville Parks and Recreation staff thirty days or more prior to the date of the event. If cancellation is received within 30 days of the scheduled reservation, the renter will receive 50% of their rental fee payment along with their deposit fee. If cancellation is received the day of the event, the entire rental fee and deposit will be forfeited. 

In the event that a rental reservation has to be cancelled due to inclement weather, we will attempt to find an alternate day for the rental. If an agreeable date is not available, a full refund will be given to the renting party. Inclement weather cancellations will be determined by Bentonville Parks and Recreation

All Other Programming

Five full business days notice must be given in order to receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued after the close of registration.
