City Hall Selfie Day is a nationwide celebration of local government and civic pride—led by ELGL (Engaging Local Government Leaders). Every year, people across the country take selfies in front of their city halls or other local government landmarks to highlight the people and places that help communities thrive.

In 2023, Bentonville was nationally recognized for Best Community Engagement—and this year, we’re inviting you to help us do it again.

Bentonville’s 2025 Theme:

Those Who Move You

This year, we’re celebrating the people and relationships that make Bentonville feel like home.

We’re inviting you to take a photo with those who move you—the people you work with, grow with, build with, or simply do life with. That might be your coworkers, business partners, family, friends, or your favorite people to serve or create alongside.

It’s not about movement.
It’s about connection.
The people who shape your everyday experience in this city.

How to Participate

1. Take a photo
Grab the people who move you and take a selfie or group photo at any City of Bentonville location, including:

  • In front of City Hall

  • At a city park, trailhead, or playground

  • Near a public art piece or city sign

  • Outside a library, fire station, community facility, or any recognizable city property

2. Post it on August 12

  • Use the hashtag #CityHallSelfie

  • Tag @bentonvillegov on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter/X

3. (Optional) Tell a short story
In your caption, share a few words about the people in your photo. What connects you? What have you created or supported together? What role has Bentonville played in your shared story?

A photo shows who moves you.
A story shows why.

Why It Matters

This is more than a selfie. It’s a reflection of what makes Bentonville work—not just services and spaces, but the people who bring them to life.

Let’s show the rest of the country who we are—together.
